About Yasmin

RYT 500 hrs and E-RYT 200 hrs
It’s important to me to develop a connection with my students. I always strive to create a judgment-free and safe space when I am teaching. My wish is that everyone leaves feeling better than when they stepped into the yoga class.

My classes are creative and I love yoga with flow.
I firmly believe that everything we do creates a ripple effect throughout the world, and even a small act of kindness can make a significant impact. I want to share my passion for yoga and hope to support and positively impact those who take the time to join me.

The first time I took a yoga class was in 2002 when I accompanied my husband to a studio in San Diego, CA. He had recently started practicing to improve his breath awareness due to asthma. I fell in love with yoga from that day and have been practicing ever since.

I got pregnant with twins a month after receiving my RYT-200 Hours Yoga Teacher Certificate from Sivananda Ashram in Neyyar, India, in December 2008. Teaching prenatal yoga while being pregnant has given this type of yoga a special place in my hear

My additional certifications include RYT-300 Hours Advanced Yoga Teacher Training with Gerard Gessner at Prana Yoga Center in La Jolla, CA, USA, as well as certifications in Prenatal, Yin, Yoga Wall, and Rest & Restore Yoga. Passionate about deepening my knowledge, I continue to participate in various courses, such as Functional Anatomy Training, Reiki, Pranayama, Sound Bath Training, Trauma-Conscious Yoga, Yoga for Baby Boomers & Seniors, and Yoga for Stress & Anxiety. I am registered as a yoga teacher with the Yoga Alliance.

I have taught a wide range of yoga styles, including Core, Hatha, Hot, Nidra, Prenatal, Rest & Restore, Yin, and Vinyasa Yoga. My experience also extends to facilitating Kids Yoga and Sound Baths
I am a devoted meditator with over twenty-five years of practice, trained in bothTranscendental Meditation and The Tibetan Buddhist “Pointing Out Way” of Mahamudra.
I love traveling and experiencing new cultures and places. I grew up in Sweden but moved to California in the 90s. I have lived and taught yoga in California, New York, and for several years in Australia. Now, I reside in San Diego, California, with my loving husband and amazing twin daughters.

“Dear Yasmin,
I just wanted to personally thank you away from class. As you know I have not been practicing yoga for very long. I wanted to tell you how much I have appreciated your instruction in each class I have attended of yours. You make yoga an enjoyable and fun way to care for myself. Your constant encouragement and support have been priceless to me!”
Kat Gilbert
“I do love your yoga classes as you have a way of combining the elegance and strength in yoga practices, and effortlessly you make both the spiritual and physical aspects of the exercise appealing through demonstrations. You are a wise teacher who exudes confidence and grace that a student would love to follow.”
