About Yasmin


It’s important to me to develop a connection with my students. I always strive to create a learning environment where everyone feels comfortable, so they can be present and establish a connection with the breath.  Compassion, self challenge, and fun are the results. My classes are creative and I love yoga with flow. The aim is for students to leave feeling at peace, relaxed and invigorated.

The first time I took a class was in 2002 when I went with my husband to a yoga studio in San Diego, CA. He had just started to practice, since it’s beneficial for breath awareness (he has asthma). I fell in love with yoga from day one and have practiced ever since.

I got pregnant, with twins, a month after I received my RYT-200 Hours Yoga Teacher Certificate from Sivananda Ashram in Neyyar, India in December 2008. Since I was teaching prenatal yoga while pregnant, this type of yoga has always had a special place in my heart. 

Additional certifications include  RYT- 500 Hours Yoga instructor, Prenatal- , Yin-  and Rest & Restore Yoga.  I am registered as a yoga teacher with the Yoga Alliance.

I have taught everything from Core-, Hatha-, Hot-, Prenatal-,  Relax & Restore, -Yin to Vinyasa Yoga. My experience also includes facilitating Kids Yoga.

I am a devoted meditator, and have been meditating for more then twenty-five years. I am trained in both Transcendental Meditation and The Tibetan Buddhist “Pointing Out Way” of Mahamudra.  


I love to travel and experience new cultures and places. I grew up in Sweden, but moved to California during the 90s. I have lived and taught yoga in California, New York and several years in Australia. I now live in San Diego, California with my loving husband and amazing twin daughters.
